Mission Speed Steel Handgun Match

Mission and District Rod and Gun Club, 10969 Dewdney Trunk Road , will host a Speed Steel Match on Saturday, May 17th, 2008 at 9:00 AM

Mandatory Match briefing: 8:30am sharp

Speed Steel Shooting is an exciting handgun shooting discipline going against steel targets for speed and accuracy. This match will be shot over five stages of various target configurations. Competitors will shoot each stage six times.  Their best five times for each stage combined will be their aggregate time for the overall match.

Bring as many magazines or speed loaders as possible. Light loads recommend; there is no power factor requirement; NO magnums allowed.

The match fee is $15 per firearm, and is open to non-members.  The round count for the event is 150 but budget between 200 and 250 rounds per gun for the match depending on ability.

The match has five different classes to encourage maximum participation:

1.       22 Pistol or Revolver

2.       Stock class centre fire pistol

3.       Open class centre fire pistol

4.       Centre fire revolver

5.       Single action cowboy

The second squad starts at 1:00pm with the match briefing at 12:30pm.

Further details and additional event dates posted under "Calendar" Speed Steel will be a monthly event until September.  The Pistol/Short Range and "Tombstone" will be closed until 4:00pm.
