General Information


THE CLUB:

The Mission & District Rod & Gun Club is a private club, and is ONLY open to it's members and their guests. Hours of operation are 9 AM to dusk, 7 days a week. Occasionally, the range is open to the public for sighting in or special events. Please see our calendar page for dates and times. 

The Mission & District Rod & Gun Club is a private non-profit society. It is run by current members who volunteer their time and expertise. There are many Special Interest groups that are very active within the club.  A number of people give up a considerable amount of personal time to start and nurture these groups and their associated activities, their contributions are greatly appreciated. Please do your part and help out when and how you best can. For more information on the history of the club please see History.

If you have an interest, or a curiosity with the club or any of the specialty groups, please contact the individuals identified on the contacts page. They will be more than willing to help you get started in an activity or sport.

Individuals are encouraged to join Club committees, which include Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Archery, Black Powder, Junior Program, Membership, Housekeeping, Fishing and BCWF (British Columbia Wildlife Federation).

OUR MISSION:

   The MISSION & DISTRICT ROD & GUN CLUB pledges;
     To cultivate the conservation of all Wildlife and to promote good Sportsmanship.
     To educate youth in the art of handling all Sports Equipment on the range and in the field.

MEMBERSHIP:

A Membership in the MISSION & DISTRICT ROD & GUN CLUB provides you the following benefits;

  • Access to all Ranges including ( 50m Pistol Range & 300m Rifle Ranges)
  • Access to  outdoor 3-D Archery Range and 2-D Practice Range

The Mission & District Rod and Gun Club offers several types of memberships. 

  • REGULAR:   single membership with one vote at meetings
  • FAMILY     :   single membership with additional family members( under the age of 19) and/or spouse 
                            note: only head of family has a vote at meetings / all members MUST live at same address
  • SENIOR     :   single membership with one vote at meetings (Must be age 65 or older)

Clubhouse hours of operation are as follows;

GUESTS: A club member in good standing may bring a maximum of two guests to the range. 
                   The guest DAY PASS fee is $20 per person per day.

From  the junction of Highway 11 and Lougheed Highway head North on the Cedar Valley Connector.
Continue North and The Connector turns into Cedar Street.
Go north on Cedar Street to  Dewdney Trunk Road.
Turn left onto Dewdney Trunk Road. Follow this road for 1.5 km.
Turn Right to stay on Dewdney Trunk Road.
Continue north on Dewdney Trunk Road until you see a small Mill Pod on the right.
Club access road is on the left side of Dewdney Trunk. Rd. opposite the pond.
